Christine Pollard Photo Christine Pollard has been a registered yoga instructor since 2004. In that time she has spent thousands of hours discovering and sharing the practice with others. Christine believes yoga is a disciplined practice of self-awareness that goes beyond the mat and into the world in which we collectively create and experience. In her classes and private sessions Christine utilizes breath as a guide for movement, as well as a means of exploring the body in stillness. Because she encourages students to be willing to explore and nudge their boundaries during practice, Christine always teaches to the body/bodies in front of her, giving variations and modifications of each pose and breath practice as needed. Christine has taught private sessions as part of a comprehensive mental health program, and was a senior instructor at The Bo Tree in Davis, CA for 8 years. She is an RYT with Yoga Alliance. Christine lives and enjoys life in Woodland, CA with her husband and two sons. (530) 383-0281 or rootdownyogini@gmail.com.
